Come From Away is based on actual events that took place on September 11, 2001 and the days that followed. A total of 38 planes landed in Gander, Newfoundland carrying nearly 7,000 passengers and crew. This was an extraordinary challenge to take on for a small town like Gander with the population of only 10,000 people.

Join us for Broadway’s Come From Away that has won Best Musical all across America. Our tour in Chicago begins at Water Tower Place for shopping and lunch on your own with your friends at Water Tower Place Foodlife food court, Mity Nice Grill or choose from the many local restaurants along the Magnificent Mile Michigan Ave. After lunch, we depart for the Cadillac Palace Theatre and our 2:00 p.m. matinee musical performance of Come From Away.

The New York Times Critics’ Pick takes you into the heart of the remarkable true story of nearly 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. Cultures clashed and nerves ran high, but uneasiness turned into trust and gratitude grew into enduring friendships.

Following the musical, we depart for home and will enjoy a boxed dinner (included) on our drive back to Champaign.
